The following note is from Carmen Farwell on behalf of the Carlin Lake Association…

Hi, Northwoods Friends—

We have learned there will be yet another step in the Vilas County Zoning— Carlin Well Water—Water Bottling Factory lawsuit!

This past week, Trig Solberg and his lawyers requested that the recent ruling of the Vilas County Board of Adjustment be heard again by Judge Nielsen in district court.

You will remember that in November, the Board of Adjustment voted unanimously in support of county zoning and the Carlin Lake plaintiffs, giving careful, detailed reasons why pumping and trucking water from the Carlin well is NOT LEGAL.

In recent news coverage from Ben Meyer at WXPR-FM, he notes that the “score” for legal rulings is 6-0: 6 points in support of zoning ordinances, and 0 points for Trig and company.

We will keep you informed when we learn about dates and times for yet another hearing.

In the meantime, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from your friends at Carlin Lake! We are continually grateful for your support!
