Bill Cerny reports that on April 27 Lynx Lake was free of ice which was about a week earlier than last year. As always, the loons returned to the lake the same day. Bill is not sure how many loons are back on the lake, but he has seen several pairs fly overhead. Hopefully, we will have more than one nest on the lake this year.
While our daily lives have been momentarily altered by Covid-19 and we all long for normalcy to return, Lynx Lake’s natural rhythm remains the same and moves forward. We need to draw some inspiration and comfort from that.
I saw one pair of loons on the lake on Sunday morning ,also a Bald Eagle pitched to the NW Side of the lake Cold and windy water temps 44 degrees . Fished about a hour so much structure on Lynx and how truly beautiful it is
